* This was his last episode, two weeks before 9/11.

* This guy cared more about people’s kids than many parents did about their own kids.

* As far as getting people ready for the real world, this WORKED. (I could go on at length about how all the usual patriarchal babysitting constructs from kindergarten through bachelor’s degrees DON’T WORK anymore) Boy, how good it would be if someone new stepped up to the plate to continue this work.
